Cookie policy

What cookies are

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser to remember information between visits. This policy explains which ones Comunaris uses and how you can manage them.

Which cookies we use

  • Necessary: essential for the site to work (language, sign-in and your cookie choice). They do not require consent.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to measure in aggregate how the public site is used. They are only loaded if you accept them; until then no data is sent to Google.

We also count visits to the public site with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and stores nothing in your browser: it only records aggregate data (page, country, device type and where you came from) without recognising you across days.

Local storage

Besides cookies, the application keeps preferences such as the light or dark theme, the state of the menus and the table settings in the browser local storage. They are never sent to any server and only remember how you prefer to see the application.

Sign in with Google

If you choose to sign in with Google, you go through Google pages, which apply their own cookies and privacy policy (policies.google.com).

How to change or withdraw your consent

You can change your choice at any time with the «Cookie settings» button. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings; if you block the necessary ones, you may not be able to sign in.

Record of your choice

Each time you accept, reject or customize cookies, we keep proof of that choice in our database (Supabase, with servers in the European Union), so that we can demonstrate that you gave your consent, as article 7.1 GDPR requires. The legal basis is compliance with that legal obligation (art. 6.1.c GDPR).

  • What is stored: a random identifier generated by the notice, which is also kept in your browser (in «comunaris-consent»), the date and time of the choice, the notice version, the option chosen for each category, the language and the kind of action (accept all, reject all or customize).
  • What is not stored: your IP address, your browser or device details, or your user account. On its own, the record does not identify you.
  • How long it is kept: three years from the choice, the limitation period for very serious data protection infringements (art. 78 LOPDGDD). After that, the record is deleted automatically; the check runs every day.

Only the controller can access the record. Your choice in the browser lasts 12 months; after that, the notice asks you again.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page with its update date.
